We Painted the Baby Room

We've always had a spare bedroom upstairs next to our room that we've intentionally left mostly empty. We've kept the ironing board, a dresser for off season clothes and the toys we use to entertain our nieces and nephews. It was the designated 'guest room' until we finished the basement and moved the spare bed downstairs. Since then it's been dubbed the 'toy room'. That distinction has now been officially changed to the 'baby room'.

We painted it over the Memorial Day weekend and are quite happy with how it turned out. We painted the window wall a chocolate brown and the three other walls a sunshine yellow color. We left the trim, doors, and ceiling white and we think that highlights everything very nice. I think I'll have to take a picture while the sun isn't glaring in the window. It was hard to get the camera to focus on the window wall with the sun flooding the room with ample amounts of overexposure. It still has the toys, and the dresser with the off season clothing, and we hope to add a crib soon.

Colette mostly did the edging and I mostly rolled. Colette had a good friend recommend a painting edger that claimed that no taping was required. To it's credit, it worked beautifully! It did an excellent job - of course a large amount of the credit goes to the operator!
